This is no ordinary vessel.  A rare opportunity indeed! Designed for long range ocean passages, under the same ownership for 15 years, "KOOMOOLOO" was designed for long range ocean passages. She has 8,000 to 12,000 nautical mile
range.  She has 7 tonnes of lead ballast,  allowing her to recover from a 90 degree knockdown. Forward facing windows are of 5/8" armour plate glass, the side windows are 3/8" armour plate glass and can be fitted with perspex storm shutters.

"KOOMOOLOO" has a cruising record that includes crossing the Tasman to New Zealand in the early '80s returning through the Pacific via Fiji the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea. She circumnavigated the world in the 1984/'85 (Then named "JESSICA") and as a result she carries a Panama Canal Certificate. She crossed the Tasman to New Zealand again in 1987 returning to Australia in 1988 as radio relay vessel for the Auckland-Mooloolaba race that year.

Other credits include radio relay vessel for at least two Sydney - Hobart races and a number of Sydney - Lord Howe Island races. In 1991 she was radio relay vessel for the Brisbane - Gladstone yacht race and the inaugural Hogs Breath Café - Mooloolaba - Arlie Beach yacht race. "KOOMOOLOO" has proved herself an excellent sea boat.
